“One of my first TV news segments was reporting on ‘Arrow,’ an abused sea lion that was shot with an ‘arrow,’ author and TV personality Aprilanne Hurley reports.
“Needing care for his injuries, Arrow was taken to the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA.
While it took some time for Arrow to heal, I’ll never forget the excitement when we covered Arrow’s eventual release back into his natural habitat – the sea!”
“It was also touching to see all the sweet little innocent faces of the many helpless creatures needing our love and care at the center,” Hurley notes.
